A 1°C Difference That Unlocks New Materials

The University of Rouen in France Advances Crystallization Research with Laminar’s Custom Taylor Reactor

Professor Gérard Coquerel of the Université de Rouen, a leading institution in fundamental science and applied chemistry research in Europe, has used Laminar’s Taylor reactors for many years and has been conducting innovative experiments applying Laminar’s technology.

Building on the trust and passion cultivated over this long relationship, Laminar successfully installed a custom reactor incorporating Professor Coquerel’s innovative ideas this past July.

In crystallization and particle control processes, even minor changes in environmental conditions can significantly influence the quality and success of the final material. The uniform heat-transfer characteristics of Taylor vortices enable precise control over particle size and morphology, even with a temperature difference of only 1°C.

Using this technology, the research team is achieving innovative research results in high-purity novel material research and crystallization control processes that were difficult to realize with existing methods.

Laminar will continue to closely collaborate with leading research institutions and companies worldwide, supporting customers’ original research and process innovation with optimal customized solutions.
